A Pawn for Love

When Jacey had checkedd her out of the clinic, Kage had felt a sense of relief. 

While deep in her heart she still felt the fire that had burned in her soul for him, she could no longer face Sardo. The time that she had spent hiding in Blood Moon's castle had given her time to contemplate, to try and heal her mind who at times felt fragmented and alone.

She knew Sardo was searching for her. But, gazing at Maddie and Dai, she knew that returning to the Clinic to finish her treatments was out of the question. So, without saying much, she gathered all her kids and finding a house near Jade Castle had settled in.

But, now this, the message that in exchange for Ember, her old friend could have her mate back.

She could hear Jacey sobbing in her head, pleading to please bring her daughter. That it was the only way.

Kage, looked down at her little fire demon daughter, and shook her head. 
Who would pawn something that wasn't hers. She sent the message back. Wanting to know how. Why.
How could Ember suddenly become embroiled in all of this.

Hugging her tightly, Kage took a few steps outside and vanished to Blood Moon's Throne Room
