At Blood Moon, everything was going smoothly. Jacey had changed into a gold, black dress with a matching tiara and her gushing mate Jasper seemed to dog her footsteps lovingly trying to find something to help in.
The guests began to appear and mingle. Jacey walking around when Minjita, her princess, came running up and hugging the Queen tightly "Auntie! I missed you!"
Jacey smiled down at the little vampire princess, "I missed you too Minjita, what are you doing here?"
"Um,"whispering, " Mom is still hiding here and she brought all of us...so I wanted to see if I could come to the party..?"
"Of course you can Mini," Jacey responded fondly. Delighted Mini goes off to say hi to Juna dancing slightly to the music, just as Ryan walked in among all the guests. Everyone seems to be having a great time eating and dancing to the music.
In the middle of the room in a ball of flames, Sardo, Minjita's father, appears in a ball of flames.
"Welcome Sardo, my old friend." Jacey glides over greeting him
Sardo looking around seemed furious about something.
Oblivious, Minjita had noticed Ryan and shyly had approached him. And after a few soft words they had started dancing to the music. The confrontation in the middle of the room seemed to tense up as the moments passed and words were exchanged sharply between Sardo and Jacey.
".....why did you take Kage from the clinic..." Sardo demanded furiously
Dismissing it with a wave "o...that...she wanted to leave...checked her out."
"....treatment...not finished...you fool!" striking out at the Queen furiously
Taken aback Jacey shook her head. By now the conversation and the actions having captured everyone's attention in the room.
Seeing Sardo strike her mate Jasper, suddenly intervenes, putting himself in the middle. Livid Sardo, pulls Jacey aside from her mate Jasper and turns to him suddenly, pulling a black orb.
Angrilly, Jacey tries to intervene again. " This is my castle, You will not treat me like an abused human house wife." Jasper looking at Jacey again, steps in between her and Sardo facing him steadily.
Sardo sneered, looking down at Jasper. "Ah the hero..." laughing" Its time Jasper I took payment." Holding the small black orb up from a pouch.
Murmurs echo from the dance floor. Juna hurrying over. "Dad, what is going on?" Glancing at Minjita who is still dancing with Ryan.
"A lesson," Sardo states shortly, " Taking payment. Jasper your Essence is mine."
Hissing Jacey tries again, " Never you can't have it, Sardo.."
Sardo brushes Jacey off, like a pesty insect, " and I claim it Jasper. You are a fool, to believe that a demon gives powers away without payment."
Jacey, glaring angrily, "His essence belongs to noone!"
Turning on her, coldly calmly, "He excepted the powers I offered him. That is a contract. And now his essence belongs to me. And since you have angered me Jacey. I will collect what is mine."
Jacey looking desparately, "Please, for everything I have done for you..that my mate has done. This is how you repay us?
Sardo looking coldly, "done? The list goes on and on of things you have done to ruin my family." Holds up the orb again.
The dance floor is absolutely silent. The party atmosphere completely dead. Juna and Minjita watching. Ryan, Andre, and the other guests making a awkward circle around them. Ryan making a move to interfere but the furious look from Sardo, makes him step back.
Staring straight at Jasper who had been standing next to Jacey silent protectively. Sardo raises the stone. Activating it.
"NO Sardo! Are you an idiot! No!" Jacey screeches
The stone glows a deep red.
Jasper collapses on the floor. Sardo calmly sniffs the stone as Jacey lashes out at him.
"Sardo how dare you come here. You threaten me and my mate on this sacred night!"
Calmly, Sardo smiles. "Mini we are leaving." Ryan trying to step in again. Sardo turns on him, "She has no choice boy," And taking Mini's hand vanishes in a ball of flames.
Staring in disbelief, for a moment everyone is silent, before the shock of what has just occured begins to sink in as Jasper's lifeless body lays on the floor.........
