Letter to Juna from Dai

Arrived in the Mail
 The Letter Dai wrote to Juna before leaving:

Juna,

I'm coming back. Don't do anything stupid. Might be smart if you remember that this is the longest I've ever stayed anywhere. I left you that ring. And some books. And a blade or two. No surprise there. I just realized I'm a horrible writer. Sorry. I should go back to college one of these days. Don't really want to though. I didn't write a letter to Kaze. Does that mean It'll never work between us? To tell you the truth.I'm scared. Of what, I'm not sure yet. Maybe it's the fact that Rollanos is better than I am. Maybe, it's the fact that my past is finally beginning to catch up with me. I shouldn't be filling your mind with this though. This is between my mind and me

Juna finishes reading the letter and then sitting on her rock out in the woods, reads it again, fingering the blades thoughtfully.

Shadow possibly the last of his race.

Current whereabouts- unknown to others but enrolled in the Assassin's Guild

I don't have a family and when everyone asks I pretty much just shrug and wonder why I'm so short on memories. I pretty much just found myself in front of a whole bunch of Vamps. Found Andre. Jade Wings and made friends felt welcomed even when Queen Jacey turned me into a Vampire.

I may be the last Shadow and am master of it's magic. My chaos dagger never leaves my side and until now I couldn't tell anyone that I was leaving so I left a mote to my trainer Andre and just vanished.

I look at my hitlist. at all the names including all my best friends......

Dai's Appearance and Ribs continued

Everyone dug in. Dai not hesitating grabbed one but chewed slowly wincing as her jaw seemed to be causing her some pain. Luna was eating at a fantastic rate, watching Sam and Andre who without any thought to their surroundings were scarfing ribs.
  "Guys it doesn't hurt to eat vegetables you know...." Juna said thoughtfully watching the racks of ribs disappear at an alarming rate. Laughing.  Friendly conversation ensued as a few hands grabbed some corn
   Dai seemed quiet, finishing and quietly getting up to leave.
   Noticing Juna came up to her and whispered "leaving so fast?"
   "I only said I was dropping in to visit. I have to go..."
   Seeing her move so painfully to the door, Juna followed. "At least let me help you or walk with you for a bit...please."
  Dai nodded and together they walked out into the woods.
   Walking silently they came to the edge where Juna felt this is where Dai wanted to go ahead alone.
   Hugging her quickly, "I won't say goodbye Dai. I'll make ribs every night if it means seeing you...please don't forget me."
    Dai turned thoughtfully," You're my sister. I could never forget you...and I hope to never say good bye. If I do I know I'll never see you again. I don't want you to be one of those people."
    "It was just sentimental words, I'm not good with those....its just I will miss you and well.." Thinks of how everyone got a letter but her...Juna stares out into the night.
   "I did send you one. I was hoping you would get it...I will be back just don't know when."
" I know. That's why I will never say good bye to you Dai."
   Turning to look at Juna one more time Dai stares out into the darkness before vanishing.
  Juna sighs reaching out hoping to feel her presence lingering before sitting on a rock and just staring into the darkness.

Dai's Appearance and Ribs

It was rumored that Dai was back in Spain training. But on this night after Sam and Juna had returned from the cave, Juna felt that the amount of snow that was surrounding the castle called for a BBQ and thinking that everyone would feel the same, pulled out the grill. Knowing exactly how much the boys at Jade Castle ate, she grinned stacking racks and getting everything ready. Slowly, the castle filled with the aroma that you could find on a warm summer night of BBQ and grass.
  And suddenly it was like the Castle came alive. She saw Sam come sliding in followed by Andre and then at the door stood Dai. She seemed injured, but Juna knew that making a fuss over it would not help. Instead, everyone greeted her happily. "Dai !!"
"Hey, I smelled Ribs and couldn't resist" Dai remarked moving slowly to the kitchen island, grabbing a cup of coffee.
 Juna grinned sliding two bowls of oatmeal in front of the boys. "Here, guys. Dinner" Sam smiled sitting down pushing the bowl away. Andre just stared at his.
  "Sam, thats dinner tonight...there are Vampires who would be grateful" Juna smiled pushing it back in front of him. Sam smiled back pushing it away. Andre picked up a spoonful with a "Oh joy look on his face..." letting it glop down again.
   The others looked and Juna laughed opening the grill and mounding racks of ribs on platters so high, Sam and Andre's eyes grew wide.

I don't fear Death. Not even when the Shadows haunt me for I cheated them of having me. I am a daughter of Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and my father and grandmother Shadow Demons.They tried to claim their hold when I arrived and stayed for 6 months, in agony, half dead, living in their world...barely. But, I escaped and I fear them not.

As a child my grandmother raised me and I found myself attached and drawn to swords. My hands, engraving them and bedazzling them to make them unique, like a relationship between the two. Even thinking of it now brings to mind the how I lost my first one,sword, in the depths of darkness fending against the shadows and how it allowed me to escape.

I learned a lot my shadow demon giving me an amazing ability to to shadow heal and travel between dimensions. I have discovered a lot in my journeys and the strength, wisdom and fighting skills I draw from my Demi-god side lets me see things from all sides.

I joined Blood Moon but refused to let the Queen change me. My anger and feelings I hide, not letting even my friends see it at times, letting it reflect in my eyes; even though sometimes my temper gets the best of me.

For my friends my family I give my best. Sam who is my brother and his sister Sarafina who were rescued from Hunters and also Mika who between KBU and myself we adopted. I would give my life for them. Without hesitation. Death has no hold over me.

Entry from Dai's Journal.

December 21st 1867

A very happy birthday to me! Do not worry, I am being entierly sarcastic. It has been 9 years since my brother and I were taken hostage by the coven that calls itself Crystal Sun. I have not seen Jyakuran since the kind master Silar has taken me under his wing and begun my training. I progress rapidly, with skill seldom seen by even the most elite vampire masters. Silar has even said I may surpass him one day, though that day seems to remain on the horizon, far out of my reach

 We are going on a raid tomorrow. The Hunter camp nearby has gotten to confident as of late, and Silar and I were sent to mess things up a bit. I shudder at the thought of perhaps killing my birth parents, even though I know in heart that they were prisoners. Not hunters. No worries though, all is well that ends well.

KBU lives at Jade Castle

Avoid his daggers unless you want a bad case of Frostbite

At the age of 7 KBU son of Poseidon was sent on a quest to the North Pole.

His father had set him the task of retrieving a crystal blue necklace guarded by the guardians of the North.

Fulfilling his fathers wishes he discovered the necklace, but as he was removing it the guardians discovered his thievery and as punishment left him frozen. Years passed and contemplating KBU discovered that he was alive breaking free from his punishment. But, instead of returning to the ocean he discovered himself vanished to a castle full of vampires, half blood coven. Trying to heal himself he tried to summoned water and to his shock found it wouldn't work. Trying again and again he started shooting ice and Queen Jacey seeing the value of KBU and his new abilities bit him. Turning the Demi-god into a vampire where with his new found abilities began to train with ice and daggers.

Becoming fast friends with Percy and Luna. He is often found training or hunting with Percy's boys or on his down time hanging out with Luna by his pond.

The Cave continued

Reminiscing about past memories, Sam suddenly realizes that the cave has cooled down quite a bit. The cold breeze rushes in and he shivers. Sensing that Juna might be cold he takes off his coat, laying it on top of her.
Shivering, Juna feels the movement and waking up: looks around disoriented. "Hmm..Sam?!"
Hearing her stir, Sam rises, hurrying over too her.
"You're cold..here" taking off his jacket and sweat shirt and bundling her up.
"No S..am..yo..u'll get..cold" Juna chattered through gritted teeth. Sam ignoring her gently bundles her up turning the heat up on the coat.
Her eyes flickered slightly turning crystal and then back to normal.
Sam notices and a worried look crosses his face.
"maybe we should get you back to the castle..."

The Cave

At the far ends of the continent down a dark dune lies the secret cave that Sam discovered...
Carefully leading Juna inside. Crystals surround the whole cave casting rainbows and sending patterns down a still moving silver pool. Looking out the edge the sky seems so close to touch and looking down the city breathtakingly small.
Gently fingering the crystals, Juna watches as Sam sits against the wall, seemingly lost in thought. Quietly she joins him sitting next to him contemplating, lost for words in all the resonant.
Sam stares at the sky and crystals "I could stay here..forever.."
Taking a deep breathe "yea..me too..it's better than the clinic" Juna replies slowly laying down on the cave floor. The caduceus mark glowing softly on her arm reminding her that she was only visiting. That the clinic not the castle was her home.
Staring at the cave made her feel peaceful and drowsy. Slowly without realizing it she drifts off to sleep.
Sam watching her sleep feels drowsy himself. But, gets up and sitting on the edge thinks slightly worried.

Sam and Juna

Into the farthest realms or edges of the continents Sam is drawn into dimensions so beautiful words can't describe.
Loving, soft souled he loves Juna. Always by her side. He watches from a distance hoping someday....

Luna's Scrapbook: Picture of a Young Sam

Placed lovingly in a scrapbook. This picture fell out this morning as Sam retrieved all his post it notes. I think Sam would like to see this picture of him as a kid gone and replaced with a better one. But finding this small photo on the ground thought best to post it.

Juna and Ghost

They belong together. Together they lead Jade Wings. When Ghost heads off on a mission. Juna loves to spoil everyone with cooking, comforting and occasionally forgetting who she is and annoying Queen Jacey. Even though technically she is queen of Jade Wings she dislikes titles preferring to be just like the others.

Dai

Epic Mysterious Warrior, Juna's Sister, Tam's Half Sister-
She appears and disappears refusing to settle down in one place. Her love for coffee is unsurpassed and the coffee hot chocolate bar was made for her at the Castle. She is loved by all, but Juna considers her more than just a sister to herself. Everything Juna learned about fighting and sparring was taught by Dai
She died but as death refuses to let her, she was discovered in a Hunter Camp working. But, she has again disappeared and is rumored to be in Spain training.

Tensions are sometimes High and sometimes peaceful as members from both Covens have to choose sides.
But lets start at Blood Moon
The queen Jacey is beautiful, dark and somewhat mysterious. Her mate Jasper is the opposite refusing to even hunt, focusing more on being a castle vamp to their 14 adopted kids. She has relatives that include a very strange Uncle Yeroc who is known for running around only in his Skivvies. Last seen doing that at the Festival and maybe also at a club.....
She tries hard now to not be so dark which seems against her nature, but with Juna antagonizing her on occasion and sometimes her members rebelling the time for becoming the queen she is may be near.
